Fire Marshal Training in Carlisle
- Course Duration:1 Day (6 Hours)
- Course Validity:3 Years
Fire marshal training is the full day course for the people you name as responsible for fire safety on site. Also called a fire warden course, it covers the duties they carry day to day and during an evacuation.
Your staff learns to spot and control fire hazards, run a safe evacuation, choose and use the right extinguisher, and brief the rest of the team.
For five or more people, onsite training at your own premises usually works out cheaper than booking individual places.
- Delivered at your workplace
- 12 delegates per trainer
- Flexible scheduling
- Tailored content for your work environment
- Cost effective for teams of 5 or more
Who needs fire marshal training?
Anyone named as a fire marshal or fire warden, and anyone else carrying fire safety responsibility on site.
The number you need comes from your fire risk assessment, which has to account for every floor, every shift and anyone who cannot evacuate unaided.
Everyone else on the team needs the half day awareness course rather than this one.
This course is for:
- Named fire marshals and fire wardens
- Health and safety representatives
- Facilities managers and supervisors
- Office and site managers
- Staff responsible for running the evacuation procedure
What does the law require of your business?
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must carry out a fire risk assessment, put general fire precautions in place and make sure staff receive adequate fire safety training. The Order does not name a course.
What it does require is competent people to carry out the precautions you have identified, and trained marshals are how most workplaces meet that.
What does the fire marshal course cover?
